 SPRUCE CREEK TRAILS ASSOCIATION, INC.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors

Date: May 27, 2006

Members Absent –              Tom Pickard

 Call To Order :                    The meeting was called to order by  President Mike Smith                         

 Minutes:                                Tom Jancek made the motion to accept the April 29th 2006 minutes, seconded by Don Mitchell.  They were made a part of the corporate records.

 Treasurer’s Report            The Treasurer’s Report was given, Tom Jancek made the motion  to accept, seconded by Brenda Hyde.    It was approved and made a part of the corporate records.

COMMITTEE  REPORTS:

 Insurance:            There was no report.    The Tennessee Equine Liability signs have been posted and the Liability Waiver will be delivered to the businesses affected.

Trail:                     National Trails Day was discussed.  Wally Linder has asked for our help on 4 trails.  There will be 4 sign up sheets at the potluck.

Public Liaison:     Brenda Lawson was appointed by the Board to be the liaison person for 2006-2007

Fund Raising:      Don Mitchell will donate some books to be raffled off or sold.,  The spaghetti supper will be sometime soon.  Michelle Fleenor will be the Fund Raiser chairman for 2006-2007

Information:         The newsletter will be sent via mail, e-mail and website. 

Old Business:                 Trail Deeds.  Ricky Rains will work on getting his share of the trails from Taft Story Road to Trailhead Lane.  Michelle Fleenor will assist him.  Tom Jancek will talk to Robert Livingson about deeding more trails in the Crockett Creek area.

                                Liability Waivers.  Mike Smith brought the copies to be distributed to the area businesses.  It was decided to put the Liability Waiver on the website.

New Business:               The first order of new business was to elect officers for the 2006-2007 year.

                                    New officers are:   President, Mike Smith

                                                                   Vice President, Tom Pickard

                                                                    Secretary/Treasurer, Ruth Watson

                                                                    Trail Chairman, Tom Pickard

                                                                    Public Liason, Brenda Lawson

                                                                    Fund Raising, Michelle Fleenor

Tom Pickard and Brenda Lawson will be put on the bank account as authorized signers.

The restrooms will be completed asap depending on the weather and the availability of   help.
